The weather Gods were with us. It was a beautiful hot and warm evening with a bit of clouds at the end of the night. Despite the long drive, (the near solstice scheduling of the tour helped) the nine cars still had a chance to see the sun setting and some nice views of the river.
I apologize for my "communication" issues/challenges but this allowed us to experience what is called: "Leading from the back" and Pamela and Martin did a wonderful job of that (from what I understood later). Thank you, Pam and Martin, for holding the fort. We also had the privilege of having the Tour Director (Steve and Leah) join us for the ride.
I hope everyone enjoyed their food and Ice Cream at "Le Big Marc" (the new name of the former “Blue Corner Dairy Bar”).
The roads were all in decent condition except maybe a short distance between Wendover and Clarence. I exited at Place d’Orléans, on our return leg, but realized I had forgotten to mention at our briefing the possibility of "coffee" at the end of the ride. But it was also getting late, past 9pm….
