Brockville Tour—Ron Buck—June 24, 2025

10 cars met at the OCEC on a warm (hot) but clear day with departure at 8:40 for our first stop—a bio break in Kemptville. The group arrived in Brockville for lunch at the 1000 Island Brewery. The restaurant received great reviews from all.

A walkabout followed including the Railway Tunnel and waterfront. The Tunnel was a big hit.

The return trip was via highway 2 and then northeast to Spencerville for a second bio break. As expected, Spencerville was also a great hit including ice cream and the Village Pantry’s famous cinnamon rolls. We enjoyed a quiet spot to park beside the Mill and Weir. While hot, 34C, it was comfortable while driving but hot and humid when stopped. Weather found us as we were approaching Spencerville, at times with torrential rain, but on and off on the return to the OCEC.
