Our small group of 6 cars started in Manotick at The Clock Tower. Everyone was early and anxious to get going. So, after some banter we were off to the Boat House Cafe for a great breakfast.
We arrived early so it was a perfect opportunity to chatter and take some pics. Then at 10am, we rushed in to stand in line and place our orders; it was a smooth process.
After breakfast we pulled out of the parking lot and after some GPS glitches arrived at our next stop, Green Gables Vines, where we had the opportunity to enjoy a brief tour, taste some samples, buy a glass or maybe a bottle or two to take home.
After our wine experience we were off to Merrickville to the Gather Brewery. On route we had a little tour that took on some previous roads plus a couple of new roads. It all made for a nice leisurely drive.
When we arrived at the Brewery we had a chance to taste some great beers and have a nice lunch. We also discovered the Brewery had home made ice cream. What Miata tour could pass up that chance?
We sat around enjoying each other company and decided what a perfect way to end our day.
